तुमने मेरा हाथ थामा जैसे साथ कभी छूटेगा नहीं,
अब देखो, मैं अकेला हूँ, और तुम्हारा कोई निशान भी नहीं।
वो वादे जो चाँदनी रातों में किए थे,
अब सन्नाटों में खो गए, जैसे कभी थे ही नहीं।

तुमने कहा था, “हमेशा तुम्हारा रहूँगा,”
अब तुम्हारा नाम भी ज़ख़्म दे रहा है।
एक मुस्कान में तुम दूर चले गए,

जिसे मैं कभी कह ना सका, और तू कभी समझ ना सका।

लोग पूछते हैं, क्यों नहीं भूलता,
